We will be having really fun events and enriching events from Friday to Sunday! Please note that for Magic Kingdom, we are arranging FREE transportation for the FIRST 45 people to register on-site everyone else will have to cater for themselves! We have negotiated a special price of $ for entrance to Magic Kingdom. Parents will be responsible for their younger children!

FRIDAY:

9am - 5pm: Career Fair

Watch this space! More info to come. However, there are going to be several recruiters representing the following fields and more...IT, Military, Hospitality, Finance, Medical. Please check back often!

12pm - 10pm: Game Room

Hospitality Room with video games, card games and board games. This room will remain available throughout the convention for the younger folks (11-17). It will be open till 10pm every night.

5pm - 8pm: Young Ugandan Professional (YUP) Networking Event

Do not miss the First Annual YUP Networking Event! This will be a business casual [read: no jeans/tee-shirts/hats/sneakers] and cocktail event featuring a cash bar. The purpose of this event is to give you the opportunity to expand your professional network. Go to the networking event page for more info!

8pm - 10pm: Opening Ceremonies

10.30pm - 1am: Summer Showdown featuring Next Level DJs (16+ ONLY)

10.30pm - 1am: Movie Night (11-17yrs) - Movie TBD

SATURDAY:

10.30am - 12pm: Forums

Ugandan Traditional Music, Dance & Language

This topic is targeted to our younger youth (11-17). This will give them an opportunity to learn and ask questions about a selection of Ugandan traditional music, dance, language and tradition.

Cultural Clash: American vs. Ugandan

A number of youth have faced some form of adversity in terms of which nationality to associate themselves with, i.e. American or Ugandan? This will be a town hall style open discussion on issues our youth are facing in America in terms of cultural identity and how we can address them.

12pm - 5pm: Magic Kingdom

An organized visit to Magic Kingdom. Transportation will be provided to the first 45 registrants on-site. A discounted entry price has been negotiated with Disney. Parents will be responsible for their children!!

12pm - 10pm: Game Room

Hospitality Room with video games, card games and board games. This room will remain available throughout the convention for the younger folks (11-17). It will be open till 10pm every night.

7pm to 10pm – Saturday Night Extravaganza: Under the Stars with Afrigo featuring Betty Mpologoma, Kaddo MCs, Trophy C, Chagga, Haruna Mubiru, Nassolo & Afrigo

11pm to 3am - Black, Yellow or Red Affair - Featuring DJ Shiru (16+ ONLY)

Show your Ugandan pride by repping our colors of Black, Yellow or Red at the "Black, Yellow or Red Affair" featuring the best DJ in Uganda, DJ Shiru!

SUNDAY:

2pm - 5pm: Outdoor Family Sports

Visit the sports page for more info. In a nut shell however, this will be a F.U.N sporting event featuring beach soccer, beach volleyball, basketball. If this is not your cup of tea, there a plenty of swimming pools that you can use to cool off from the hot Orlando heat. Come ready to play some fun competitive sports and most importantly meet people!

6pm - 10pm: Grand Finale Dinner & Closing Ceremonies

10:30pm - 1:30am: Blast Off '08 Concert (Youth Concert) - EVERYONE INVITED
